Integrated Product Development Project

As a part of our coursework, we were given a set of problem statements in the Pittsburgh area that we had to study and improve.

Our topic was to improve the rider experience of commuters using Pittsburgh transit authority buses. We conducted a survey and user interviews and concluded that the significant pain point was the lack of a medium to track the PRT buses and plan their travel. So comparing the existing systems, we discussed the pain points and developed a problem statement.

We studied the back-end approach of all apps and services, the most used crowd-sourcing to collect and analyze data. so one of the areas we focused on was eliminating the human in the equation and collecting data by creating an array of buses and bus stops.
